Upon the invitation of the Office of International Relations, the Japanese delegation led by Professor Hiyane Akira, the Assistant Dean of the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences, Iwate University, Japan visited SCAU and had a formal discussion with President Chen Xiaoyang.
Chen warmly welcomed the guests and gave a brief introduction of SCAU, presenting the history and future prospect of the academic cooperation between the two sides. He hoped that both sides could enhance mutual understanding through the visit, which would lay a good foundation for further substantive cooperation.
Prof. Hiyane Akira introduced the purpose of the visit and expressed the intention of seeking cooperation with SCAU. He spoke highly of the university for the beautiful scenery and strong and qualified faculty. Meanwhile, he hoped that the two sides could develop further cooperation concerning the joint cultivation of the postgraduates, the exchange of faculty and the in-depth scientific research. This kind of communication would develop a solid foundation for mutual cooperation of larger scale and higher level. Besides, the delegation exchanged views with the teaching staff and students from College of Economics and Management.
The members of the delegation came from IwateUniversity, HirosakiUniversity, Yamagata University, and Obihiro University of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine. Heads of Graduate Education, College of Economics and Management and Office of International Relations also attended the discussion.
