The delegation from Chiang Mai University headed by president Pongsak, visited Wenzhou Medical College on April 28th, 2010. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between Wenzhou Medical College, China and Chiang Mai University, Thailand. According to the MOU, both colleges agree to carry out collaboration in exchanging faculty, students, academic materials and information; holding joint international conferences; conducting joint research projects and engaging in other activities to better enhance mutual understanding and cooperation.
Chiang Mai University was founded in January 1964, under a Royal Charter granted by His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej. CMU was the first institution of higher education in the north, and the first provincial university in Thailand.
The friendly relationship between Wenzhou Medical College and Chiang Mai University has been established since 2008. Student Exchange Program between two universities will be carried out this year.
