Shi Guodong, CPC Party Secretary of Changzhou University (CCZU), chaired a meeting on February 25, which focused on the tasks in the new academic year. All the school leaders, directors and representatives of the democratic parties attended the meeting.
Pu Yuzhong, President of CCZU, briefly reported the achievements in the past year, and mapped out the tasks in the new year. He held that the following seven things are the top priority in 2011. First, further improve the teaching quality; second, recruit more high performing talents; third, strengthen the development of academic disciplines; forth, enhance scientific research and innovation; fifth, boost overall political awareness; sixth, promote the efficiency of school management; seventh, reinforce supply and service. President Pu noted that all school leaders should enhance the two concepts of innovation and efficiency so as to pave the way for a research university with mutual development of all disciplines.
Shi Guodong concluded the meeting with a speech, which called for a down-to-earth attitude towards all these tasks in 2011. He held that at the beginning of a new start CCZU should consider carefully the new situations in order to make more achievements in the new year. He pointed out that we must standardize school management, optimize the hardware of the university, and nurture more national education awards. Finally, Shi stressed the significance of innovation, efficiency, and diligence in order to make more breakthroughs in the new year.
