From Aug. 16 to 20 the First Joint China-Dutch Seminar on Game Theory and Fourth China Meeting on Game Theory and its Application (CMGTA) were jointly held on NPU campus by the Specialty Committee on Game Theory of China Society on Operations Research(CSOR), NPU and University of Twente, the Netherlands.
NPU Professor Sun Hao and Professor Driessen from University of Twente are the co-chairmen; Associate Professor Xu Gengjiu is the secretary general. Present at the meetings are Professor Yuan Yaxiang, president of CSOR, former vice president of Mathematics and Systems Science Academy and director of Computational Mathematics Research Institute, Academia Sinica, Xu Yu, vice president of CSOR, Professor Xu Yinfeng, standing member of CSOR, and Professor Zhang Weihong, dean of School of Sciences at NPU.
13 foreign participants are respectively from University of Maastricht, University of Twente, Freedom University of Amsterdam and University of Antilles, the Netherlands, University of East Michigan, the U.S. the Academy of St. Petersburg, Russia Waseda University and Ibaraki State Polytechnic Institute, Japan.

The presentations cover the latest research findings and progresses on the game theory, including the theoretical results for the solutions of the models of cooperation games, non-cooperation games, dynamic games, web games and also the applications of game theory to bio-evolution, web auction, Internet information security, experimental economics and so on.
The Department of Applied Mathematics of School of Sciences at NPU and the participants from University of Maastricht, University of Twente, Freedom University of Amsterdam and Waseda University hold discussions on the follow-up cooperation in the joint education of PhD. candidates and the research on game theory and its application.
Through the discussions, further cooperation agreements are reached, and this will assist NPU in its education and research on the game theory and its application.
