Collaborative Program between SWJTU and University of South Australia

The program leading to a foreign MBA degree between Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU) and University of South Australia (UniSA) has been approved by the Ministry of Education in October 2006.

UniSA offers and delivers undergraduate and post-graduate programs internationally. Students who successfully complete UniSA program requirements are entitled to the award of the appropriate UniSA qualification. The purpose of the program is to improve management skills of the senior executive staff who work in profit and non-profit organizations and enterprises and to provide certain services and infrastructure support.

Entrants to the program shall normally hold:

1.A recognized University undergraduate degree or equivalent professional qualifications and a minimum of two years full-time relevant work experience OR

2.A Graduate Certification in Business Administration with an average of at least Pass Level 1 (55%) from the International Graduate School of Business at the UniSA or an equivalent qualification from other School within the UniSA or from another recognized University OR

3.A Graduate Diploma with an average of at least Pass Lever 1 (55%) across at least 4 courses from the International Graduate School of Business at the UniSA or an equivalent qualification from other Schools within the UniSA or from another recognized University.

South Australia was founded in 1991 through the amalgamation of the South Australia Institute of Technology and the Magill, Salisbury and Underdale campuses of the South Australia College of Advanced Education. Since then, it has quickly earned a reputation as a national leader in collaborative research, has been recognized nationally for innovation in teaching and has South Australia s largest intake of international students.

SouthwestJiaotongUniversity is one of the oldest universities in China. Over the bygone century, it has developed into a key university affiliated to Ministry of Education, with its focus on engineering while covering such disciplines as engineering, science, management, economics, art, agriculture and medicine.

In order to set itself in the global environment, and to keep up the rapid development of management science, the School of Economics & Management in SWJTU established a close relation of academic exchange and communication with business schools in many countries and regions. Through the cooperation with world-renowned universities in such aspects as MBA programs, faculty training, and teaching research, the school aims to promote management education to the international level.
