President Chen s Meeting with French Ambassador Emmanuel Rousseau

On December 8^th, 2009, President Chen Chunyang of Southwest Jiaotong University met Emmanuel Rousseau, Ambassador of French Embassy in Chengdu. Madame Celine Allemand, Madame Elisabeth Develay, Messieur Mathieu Thomas, members of French Embassy in Chengdu, He Ping, Deputy Director of International Affairs Office, Professor Chen Shuyu of School of Foreign Languages also participated in the meeting.

President Chen introduced to Emmanuel Rousseau the history and discipline development as well as talents cultivation at Southwest Jiaotong University. At the same time, he illustrated the under-progress international strategies and the cooperation between French universities and Southwest Jiaotong University. This visit, as President Chen pointed out, was supposed to be able to inject new energy to the further cooperation and exchange between the related educational scientific research institutions or the related railway research centers in the two countries.
