Visit to 21st Century China Higher Education Exhibition in Europe

From October 18^th to 30^th, 2009, Wang Shunhong (Vice-secretary of SWJTU CPC Committee), Yan Qipeng (Vice-secretary of SWJTU CPC Committee, Emei Campus), He Ping (Deputy Director of International Affairs Office) and Zhu Zheng an(Vice-secretary of Publicity Department) attended the 21^st Century China Higher Education Exhibition in Cezch, Hungary and Bulgaria. This great Exhibition was meant to demonstrate the excellent achievements after the reform and opening up policy in China and to promote education cooperation and communication between the countries. Twenty-eight famous universities like Peking University, Tianjin University, Tongji University and SWJTU participated in this grand Exhibition.

During their visit, the four delegates took part in all forums held by the three countries, and introduced to them the exchange program and the study curriculum in SWJTU. The local people showed great interest in SWJTU. The delegates negotiated with Professor Karel Raisj on cooperation and exchange. Therefore, this visit was a great success in that it launched the communication between China and the three countries, and more European countries begin to know Southwest Jiaotong University.
