Southwest Jiaotong University and Taiwan s Cheng Shiu University Sign Cooperation Agreement

On June 28, 2010, Southwest Jiaotong University and Taiwan University signed a Science and Technology Cooperation Agreement. Under the agreement, Southwest Jiaotong University will send 12 students (including undergraduate and graduate) each year to Cheng Shiu University for six months to study in Taiwan.
Principal Chun-Yang Chen and Cheng Shiu University s Gongrui Zhang attended and delivered speeches. During the Ceremony, the two sides signed a cooperation agreement. Under the agreement, not only will the universities be sending postgraduate students out to study every year, but also the two schools will: organize experts and professors, exchange visits, have joint academic research exchanges, and have academic/cultural joint seminars. President Gong Ruizhang was very pleased to become a member of the National Jiaotong University, and spoke highly of the school built rail transit line in the countryside. President Gongrui Zhang extended a warm welcome to our school, stating that the sharing of resources had made important contributions to the school s cooperation. Since 2004, Cheng Shiu University and Southwest Jiaotong University have carried out a number of exchanges and established a joint laboratory.
