PFUR Delegation Visited SDU

On February 28, Prof. Vladimir Tsvyk, Dean of the Faculty of Humanitarian and Social Sciences of thePeople s Friendship University of Russia and Vice-Dean Prof. Liudmila Ponomarenko, andProf. Tatiana Soloveva visited Shandong University. SDU Vice-President Chen Yan met with them.

During their stay, the delegation held talks with representatives from theInternational Office and Graduate School of Shandong University. The two sides exchanged opinions on thecurrent joint program of graduate students and assessed performance of the teaching plan for this program. They further discussed specific issues of the graduate thesis and oral defense and commencement for those joint-cultivating students upon graduation. Then the delegation visited theCollege of International Education and expressed their intention to co-establish aConfucius Institute with Shandong University. Also,the delegation talked with teachers from the Russian Department of SDU School of Foreign Languages and Literature about the implementation of thestudents exchange project between the two universities. They also gave a presentation about PFUR and studying in its humanitarian and social sciences disciplines to students from the Russian Department of SDU.
