Notice on 2010 Summer Holiday

Dear international students,

The Summer Holiday is coming soon. In order to make sure that you and others will have a happy and safe holiday, please read the following notice:

1.The Summer Holiday for students will be July 10^th ~ August 27^th. The autumn semester schedule:

Degree course: start from August 30^thRegistration date: August 28^th ~29^th

Registration Date of the Degree Course fresh students of the 2010 Academic Year:

September 1^st ~5^th

Chinese Language Training Program:startfrom September 6^th

Registration Dates: August 30^th ~September 3^rd

Teachers holiday:July 12^th ~ August 27^th

2.The student who wants to return to your country or go traveling during the holidays, please register with the teachers in Room 103 or 108 of International Office by July 10^th . Please make sure to turn off the electricity and the water before leaving. Please do not leave any valuable belongings or large amount of cash in your room, and please do not leave the key of your room to anyone else.

3.The Summer Holiday is during the warmest time in Nanjing. Please remember to avoid fire and thefts when you stay in the university and avoid using high-power equipments. Please pay attention to your safety when you are out of doors. If you have noticed any suspicious strangers in the dormitory, please inform receptionist as soon as possible.

4.When you have relatives or friends visiting you in your room, please remember to register with the receptionist beforehand. It is forbidden to have other people stay overnight without permission.

5.The campus is the place to study and live. It is inappropriate to have dancing parties and other similar activities in your room or public area.

6.Scholarship students: please notice that the Financial Department will not open during holidays. If you have minor illness and want to see the doctor, please pay by yourself first, the university will pay you back at next semester. If you have serious illness demanding a lot of money or you need to stay in hospital, please contact the teacher on duty of International Office.

7.In order to avoid the fires if you need to cook in the public kitchen or use the electric appliances in your room, please turn off the power supply before leaving. Please do remember to turn off the electric water heater when you are taking shower!!!
