On October18, 2009, State Councilor Liu Yandong attends the celebration of 100th anniversary of CUMT. She notes that the scientific exploitation and clean use of energy resources is a major issue for all the countries across the earth and is also a key factor in China's modernization.
She calls on teachers and students to attach individual values to the country's construction and go to work in the places where they are most needed.
