Prof. Sensho Kimura, President of Otani University, today (October 9) visited Nanjing University (NJU) and delivered a speech titled Chinese Buddhism and Japanese Buddhism Chinese Buddhism as the Origin of Japanese Buddhism to NJU faculty and students.
Prof. Zhang Yibin, Vice Chancellor of Nanjing University, welcomed President Kimura. During their meeting, both sides expressed the wish to promote cooperation and exchanges between the two universities in the fields of religion and philosophy.
Otani University, located in Kyoto, Japan, is one of the leading institutions for Buddhist studies. Its history dates back to 1665.
