On June 28th, delegation from France headed by the General Manager of Drome Chamber of Commerce, Jean Pierre.Simion, visited Tianjin University with the purpose of exploring cooperation possibilities on behalf of Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble (INPG). Discussions were held between the French guests and the representatives from School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, Office of Undergraduate Affairs and International Cooperation Office.
Mr. LI Qiang, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Office, introduced the history of Tianjin University, teaching and research, and its international cooperation and cultural exchange with overseas colleges, especially with the European schools. Ms LIU Yanli, Vice Dean of School of Electrical Engineering and Automation, briefed the French guests the disciplinary development, academic research and international partnerships of the school.
Mr. Simion also talked about the overall circumstances of INPG. He expressed his good wishes to work together with Tianjin University. Details about the proposed collaboration were discussed.
