Fall domestic films rise

After racking up 270 million yuan ($40 million) at the Chinese box-office during National Day holidays, local films are expected to reach even higher box-office revenue this fall.

Major film distributor Huaxia Films made the prediction, with the company scheduled to release 17 domestic films during this period.

Huaxia's fall domestic films include Vegetate, the first film to reveal the dirty side of the medical industry in China, romance film Color Me Love with a fashion/cosmopolitan focus and comedy Dawanjia with an all-star cast.
