Shaanxi Contemporary Art Exhibition held in Xi'an

The first part of the Shaanxi Contemporary Art Exhibition kicked off in Qujiang, Xi'an, capital of Shaanxi Province, on Friday afternoon.
The Shaanxi Contemporary Art Exhibition which has just opened in Xi an has a theme of "Reconstruction of A Beautiful Life", and will last four days.
Nearly 200 artworks including oil paintings, experimental ink paintings, sculptures and video documents from 80 contemporary artists in Shaanxi are on display.
There is also much interaction between some of the artists and the visitors, including live performances.
"I hope the exhibition will promote the development of the local cultural industry and allow more people to have a better understanding of artists in our province," said Miao Xin, a chief sponsor of the exhibition.
The event is one of a series of activities of The 5th China West Culture Industry Expo which will be held in Xi'an from October 15 to 18.
