International gala

The Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries is preparing its second international Spring Festival gala, with international artists to perform at the Great Hall of the People next month.
The gala will invite over 2,000 people, including people from the Chinese government and foreign diplomats.
"Holding an international gala around the Spring Festival will help show the world our traditional culture and our wish for mutual development." Li Xiaolin, vice director of the association said at a press conference last week.
The gala is also planned to be shown on CCTV's cultural channel, CCTV3, on the night of January 20.
