The National Art Museum of China is exhibiting a total of more than 70 paintings created by Yunan artist Shu Jianxin at Hall 1 until July 28, 2010. Shu Jianxin from Yunnan presents a number of works featuring the plateau in his home province.
Born in 1957 in Qingzhou, Shandong province, Shu Jianxin graduated from the department of fine arts of Wuxi Institute of Light Industry in 1982 and transferred to the Chinese Painting Institute in 1994. he is currently director of the arts museum of the institute and National Class-A artist. His works have been shown in various exhibitions at home and abroad. He worked as vice chief of Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan in 2007. The exhibition is expected to reflect the ethnicity and scenery of the place and the province.
