Myeung-Ro Youn, a celebrated artist from the Republic of Korea, is holding an exhibition at Hall 7 since Oct. 24 until Nov.10.
Born in Korea at 1936, Myeung-Ro Youn was graduated from the department of painting of the Academy of Fine Arts of Seoul National University in 1960. He used to study block print in PRATT Institute in New York, USA. His artworks have been collected by more than 20 well-known public museums such as British Museum.
Myeung-Ro Youn is said to be the leader of the postwar abstract painting movement in the Republic of Korea during the 1960s. he has finally returned to in-depth understanding of the traditional oriental art in the past four decades. His works reflect good combination between the tradition and the modern art.
