Sponsored by the National Art Museum of China, a printmaking exhibition is currently on view at Hall 5 until Jan. 19, 2011 to showcase the masterpieces by Zhang Guilin.
The exhibition provides an overview of printmaking creation by the artist in the past three decades. The exhibits comprise a wide range of themes in different periods, such as Chinese ancient structure in the 1980s, everyday life in the 1990s and social phenomenon in the 21st century. The works include City Gate, Wall, Door God, Tide, Life and Memory.
Zhang Guilin has been devoted to the education and the charity of the whole country for years. The exhibits have been donated to the National Art Museum of China and are beneficiary to the systematic research on his printmaking. The emotion hidden in the works is expected to provoke the same feeling of the visitors.
