Almost a 100-buyers ranging from tour operators and specialist agents, together with 50-exhibitors attended the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) Exchange 2011 in London on March 14.
The event, now in its third year, brings together tourism boards, hotel groups, airlines and tour operators from across the Asia Pacific, in one appointments-based forum designed to give the UK travel trade direct one-to-one access to the region s leading travel and tourism players.
Said Ian Hawkes, executive director of the PATA UK Chapter: It has been exciting to see this event build over the three years since its launch. It was great to have so many familiar names exhibit again this year, as well as welcome some new faces such as Philippines Tourism, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Orion Expedition Cruises and the South Australian Tourism Commission.
