Cao Jianlin group first made an inspection to the company s state-level technology center and the field of production of high-speed EMU. And they rode the EMU with the speed of 300 kilometers per hour and then heard the briefing by the related responsible people in the company.

As the leader of Chinese rail traffic equipment manufacturing industry, CSR Sifang Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. recently insisted on the combination of independent innovation and introduction and assimilation of foreign advanced technology. The company has gained great achievement in designing and manufacturing of 200-300km/h high-speed trains.

Harmony CRHS type 200 km/h ECU is the signified equipment of the sixth railway speed-increase. Up to November last year, there were 60 trains put into operation. In the end of December last year, after the completion and end of line, the first domestic independently developed 300 km/h EMU fast entered mass production.

At present, the first 5 trains will be put into operation in Beijing-Tianjin intercity railway at the eve of Olympic Games.

During the survey, Cao Jianlin fully affirmed that CSR Sifang Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. developed the materialized cause of national rail traffic equipment with the spirit of independent innovation. He pointed out that China s High-speed Train Independent Innovation Joint Action Plan jointly formulated by Ministry of Science and Technology and Ministry of Railway in February this year, showed clearly the direction of the development of Chinese high-speed railway industry and aroused forceful response in society, especially in the circle of science and technology.

And he also pointed out that high-speed railway is the important trend of railway development and significant symbol of national modernization. As the core of high-speed railway technology system, high-speed train is the embodiment of the level of national related high technology development, related manufacturing capacity, independent innovation ability and national core competition ability.

He hoped that CSR Sifang Locomotive and Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. would make persistent efforts, grasp the opportunity on the basis of introducing, assimilating and creating new production, take the Joint Action Plan as the new starting point, aim at the high goal of No. 1 in the World , increase the intensity of independent innovation and constantly improve the independent innovation ability of Chinese railway high-speed train technology.

Cao Jianlin said that the concept of low cost and high efficiency should be set up in the developing of high-speed train, developing the high-speed train which could get the popularity of Chinese ordinary people. We should further strengthen the forward looking research, uphold the combination of production and research, enhance the integration of technology resources of national level, build and develop high-speed train technology innovation chain with Chinese characteristics and union of production and research, as well as develop bigger and stronger high-speed train industry.

He also expected that the company could develop the high-speed train with speed of 350 and more kilometers per hour as soon as possible, providing cogent support to the sustainable development of both Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway and national high-speed railway web.
