Vietnam is a crucial market for Foton Motor in the Asiapacific region and is also affected by the economic crisis, financial institutions in Vietnam tightened their credit policies, leading to lower enthusiasm of Vietnam consumers and inventory buildup at Vietnam dears. In regard to this situation of economic difficulty, Foton Motor launched large-scaled market promotion campaigns for which the staff from Foton Motor did not lose their concerns on the Vietnam market even during the traditional Chinese Spring Festival. Early in February, Foton Motor facilitated communications with Vietnam dealers and reached consensus on the promotion campaign implemented for Q1 2009, during the time when Foton Motor and Vietnam dealers would award the sales staff for their good performances while paying certain amount of registration fees for customers who were buying the vehicles.
