On November 30, 2005, MCC Group signed a contract with the Essar Group of India on design and equipment supply for a 2200 m3 blast furnace, which was later jointly undertaken by MCC International Incorporation Limited and BERIS Engineering & Research Corp. (BERIS). Acting under the contract, the two companies carried out extensive collaboration to complement each other's advantages and strengthen the project management. As a result, the project has been progressing well according to the contract. Up to now, the design work has been mostly completed, over 50% of the equipment has been delivered and payment has been received smoothly. It is anticipated that all the delivery work will be fulfilled by the end of this June, and 85% of payment will then be paid under the contract.
On February 13, 2009, MCC International Incorporation Limited and BERIS jointly fielded a technical service mission to the jobsite of ESSAR Project, which is located in Surat District of Gujarat State in India. The Employer voiced its satisfaction on the onsite technical service and equipment delivery finished so far, and wished MCC to further accelerate the deliveries to kick-start the project at the earliest possible time.
