A contract of Cold-rolling Project (1.8 million t/a) was held between China First Metallurgical Construction Corporation (CFMCC) and Guangzhou JFE Steel Sheet Co. Ltd. (GJSS) in Panyu on April 7, 2009. General Manager Song Zhanjiang of CFMCC and his deputy Lao Xiaoyun attended the signing ceremony. On behalf of CFMCC, Manager Guo Jizhou in Shenzhen Branch of CFMCC signed the contract.
The abovementioned project, which is a large-scale works for steel-making, is jointly invested by Guangzhou Iron & Steel Enterprise Group (GISE) and JFE Steel Corporation (JFES). CFMCC won the bidding for the continuous-annealing hot-galvanizing process, with a contract value of RMB 380 million yuan. Over the past two decades, CFMCC has been working closely with GISE, and has participated in quite a few construction works for GISE and Zhujiang Iron & Steel Works, as well as the hot-galvanizing steel sheet plant (400,000 t/a) of Guangzhou JFE. The aforesaid cold-rolling project is the largest single works undertaken by CFMCC for GISE.
At the event, General Manager Song Zhanjiang delivered a passionate speech. He extended the sincere gratitude to GISE and GJSS for their ever-lasting trust. He promised that CFMCC would: (i) allocate sufficient technical, mechanical and management resources for this project; (ii) persist in the principle of Quality, Environment Protection, Safety & Occupational Health ; (iii) act in deference to the Employer and the Supervisor; (iv) coordinate with the design institute and the associate organizations; (v) make scientific organization and management on project implementation; (vi) strictly comply with the technical specifications and requirements of implementation management; (vii) guarantee the progress according to the network planning schedule; (viii) complete the project with high quality to a standard required by Luban Prize.
Before the signing ceremony, CFMCC leaders conducted a visit to Foshan Zhichuang Metal Products Co., Ltd.
