The planishing mill, which was manufactured by MCC-SFRE Heavy lndustry & Equipment Co., Ltd. (MCC-SFRE) for CSP Project of Wuhan Iron & Steel Group, was handed over for inspection on September 15, 2009. After the joint examination by technical staff and supervisor for equipment manufacturing of Wuhan Steel Works, WISDRI Engineering & Research Incorporation Ltd. (WISDRI) and MCC-SFRE, the planisher was successfully commissioned and accepted.
The contracted planishing mill is a key device of the skin pass mill for hot strip under CSP Thin Slab Continuous Casting and Rolling Project of Wuhan Steel Works. The facility was design by WISDRI, with a total weight of 601 tons. The whole machinery unit consists of 38 sets of equipment such as planisher, uncoiler and recoiling reel.
