As the 2010 Central China (Hunan) International Agricultural Expo kicked off in Changsha on November 18, the Taiwan High-quality Goods Hall became one of the most popular booths. Huang Aimei, chief of the Nantou County Famous Products Exhibition Fraternity in Taiwan, expressed that there is a large market for the agricultural exchanges and cooperation between Hunan and Taiwan as Changsha citizens are so fond of Taiwan's agricultural products. She hoped the markets for Taiwan s agricultural products will be exploited in Changsha, Hunan, and even the other central China provinces via this expo.
At the expo, the delegation from Taiwan s Nantou and Pingdong Counties exhibited over 130 kinds of famous agricultural products, including wax-apple, custard apple, Jinmen kaoliang spirit, cosmetics extracted from plants, and high mountain tea. These colorful products, especially the undaria, fruits and manual soap gained great popularity among Changsha locals.
