Hunan Women Entrepreneurs Association Commends Top Thirty Entrepreneurs

The 5th General Assembly of the Hunan Women Entrepreneurs Association (HWEA) & the Commendation Meeting for Outstanding Female Entrepreneurs was held in Changsha on the morning of Dec. 15, 2010. Vice Governor of Hunan Province Han Yongwen attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

At the meeting, the new president and vice president of the association were elected, and the "Decision on mobilizing and organizing female entrepreneurs to join in Hunan's new-type industrialization, new urbanization, agricultural modernization, informatization, and Two-oriented Society construction" was approved. 30 women entrepreneurs were commended and awarded the title of "Excellent Female Entrepreneur in Hunan". 41 enterprises such as Hunan Palette Garment Co., Ltd. were appointed as the bases for female college students to start their own business, and 41 experts and entrepreneurs including Jiang Xuejun were employed as instructors for them.

At present, there are 84 members in the HWEA. Over the past two years, the enterprises of the members have provided job opportunities to more than one million women. Over 100 female entrepreneurs have participated in 280 odd public welfare activities of all kinds and donated money and materials valued at 86 million yuan.
