Remarkable Results Achieved in CZT Pilot Area

A press conference was held on Dec. 14 to release the construction of resource-conserving and environment-friendly society in Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Comprehensive Reform Pilot Area (hereinafter referred to as CZT pilot area). Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan cities are located along Xiangjiang River in such a way that it resembles the Chinese character " " (pin). The GDP of CZT has accounted for 42.6% of the provincial total, with the contribution rate to economic growth reaching 55%.
Chen Xiaohong, vice director of the Two-Oriented Society Office of Hunan Province, summed up that during the past three years of reforms and construction of CZT pilot area, remarkable results have been achieved in ten aspects.
First, a promoting mechanism has been basically established. Second, a planning system has taken shape. Third, more innovation has been brough into the state's system. Fourth, the infrastructure construction has accelerated. Fifth, the construction of ecological livable city has sped up. Sixth, significant breakthroughs have been made in information integration. Seventh, resource-conserving and environment-friendly industries have developed rapidly. Eighth, the building of demonstration areas has started at full pace. Ninth, people's livelihood has improved greatly. Tenth, the social undertakings have proceeded in an all-round way.
