During the two-hour destruction process, police authorities in Dongguan's 28 townships and 4 civil parishes crushed the slot machines with excavators, rendering them useless. Those slot machines, a popular gambling tool for both the adult or the juvenile market, were seized during the most severe anti-gambling campaign which began in March.
According to the police, special effort will be continuously paid toward the work of anti-gambling, anti- pornography and anti-drugs, in order to ensure the public a safer social environment.
