Inspection tour to Dubai Hippodrome contracted by 17MCC

Upon invitation by the foreign counterparties, Vice President Wang Xiufeng of MCC Limited conducted market investigations in United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Kuwait from August 28 to September 5, 2009.
From August 28 to September 1, 2009, the investigation delegation paid visit to Dubai and Abu Dhabi. During their stay in Dubai, the delegation members were debriefed on the project implementation and corporate registration progress respectively by the 17th China Metallurgical Construction Co., Ltd. (17MCC) and the 5th China Metallurgical Construction Co., Ltd. (5MCC), and inspected the steel structure works undertaken by 17MCC for Dubai Hippodrome. In Abu Dhabi, they met with the Prince and made a brief introduction to MCC Group, as well as extended the wishes for market exploration in this region. The Prince stated that, competent international companies were encouraged to participate in the development of Abu Dhabi. The delegation contacted quite a few local firms (for instance, Branch of Fluor Corporation in Abu Dhabi and Sorouh Corporation) for potential cooperative opportunities, and also inspected the jobsite of REEM Island under construction and the relevant works to be constructed under the Project of Sandiyat Island.
Wang and his delegation members left United Arab Emirates and started their 3-day trip in Kuwait on September 2, 2009. During their stay in Kuwait, they learned the working report of 17MCC, visited the completed office building of Olympic Council of Asia in Kuwait and met with the Employer. The Employer gave full recognition on the perfect performance of MCC People during the project implementation and expected to carry out further collaboration with MCC Group. Wang also inspected the project of Central Bank of Kuwait (CBK), which was under construction by Shanghai Baoye Construction Corp., Ltd. (SBC-MCC). After hearing the working report, Wang Xiufeng encouraged SBC-MCC to take effective countermeasures to conquer the difficulties, proceed the project implementation in a reliable and sure way and make contribution to the overseas market exploration of MCC Group. Moreover, meetings were held between the delegation and some local companies such as KHARAFI and SAMA, in the interests for potential cooperation in the future.
During the visit, Wang and his delegation also visited the Trade and Business Divisions of Chinese Embassies in United Arab Emirates and Kuwait. They expressed wishes for support and guidance from the embassies in further market exploration in Middle East.
