Multi-measures to Secure Foreign Affairs of Dongcheng District in 2011

The government of Dongcheng District will take several measures to secure foreign affairs in 2011. First, to revise and complete the Outline of the Twelfth Five-Year Plan (2010-2014)on Foreign Affairs of Dongcheng District, Beijing Municipality, to promote the foreign affairs characterized with the idea of new internationalized modern Dongcheng District in scientific development way. Second, judged by international standard, to secure the success of foreign affairs service for Dongcheng District s major events such as the Second Wangfujing International Brand Festival, the Royal City International Tourism and Culture Festival, Qianmen History and culture Festival, to set up and well utilize the international platform and build up a good image of the cultural center of the Capital, the showcase widow of World City for Dongcheng District on the international arena. Thirdly, to actively develop ties with International Friendship Cities, to promote pragmatic co-operations with them and to learn the advanced experiences of urban planning, administration and service from developed cities. Fourthly, to reinforce and popularize the joint-action mechanism of the departments regarding security, safety, commerce and tourism, to enhance the development of some key establishments concerning foreign affairs, to construct and complete the network of foreign affairs administration and service, to enhance the service and administration capacity for overseas media, Nongovernmental Organizations (NGO) and foreign individuals, creating a good international environment.
