CQMU Makes Progress in the Medical Student Exchange Program with Loma Linda University, USA

With the efforts of Associate Prof. Tang Jiping, who is our alumna in Loma Linda University in USA, Foreign Affairs Office and other related departments, CQMU started to receive the medical students from Loma Linda University for the short-term practice from 2007. During the summer holidays in 2007 and 2008, the First Affiliated Hospital and the Children???s Hospital accepted Andrew Wai and Jamie Ng respectively from Loma Linda University. During the short-term training, they both were well commented by the medical staff for their good cultivation, attitudes towards work and enthusiasm. They were also deeply impressed by the large scale, strong technical force, advanced equipment of the affiliated hospitals of CQMU and the friendliness of the people there. Both Andrew Wai and Jamie Ng said they would remember the friendship built up here and encourage more students to come to CQMU.
Recently Ms. Susan Tse, who is in charge of the Students for international Mission Service (SIMS) of Loma Linda University, has expressed the hope to establish a long-term formal partnership with our university for the exchange of medical students, which will be helpful for the internationalization of our medical education.
