From August 26 to 29, 2008, two British medical students from University of Cambridge, Dharshik and Preety, visited our School of Public Health.
School of Public Health extended a warm welcome to them. A meeting was held between the visiting students and the teachers, postgraduates and international students in China. Prof. Wang Yang, Vice-president of CQMU presided over the meeting. At the meeting, he introduced to the guests our university and its development, esp. its exchanges and cooperation with the universities and the medical research institutions abroad in recent years. After that, the people at the meeting discussed about the teaching, study, scientific research, examination and other fields of common concern at the universities home and abroad. There was a lively atmosphere at the meeting. The British students also visited some sites of teaching, researches and medical treatment of our university and the First Affiliated Hospital, which the British students were very interested in. Besides, the students of School of Public Health and the British medical students had a face-to-face communication to learn more about the study and life at each other???s universities.
The students of both universities benefited a lot from the visit. The visiting students left Chongqing on the afternoon of August 29.
