Recently, the University Vice President Professor Zhang Li and Professor Wei Bingjiang, Vice President of Hong Kong Polytechnic University sign an agreement on establishment of the "GDUT- PolyU Joint Research Centre for High Performance Structures and Materials" in GDUT. The Centre will make full use of the manpower and resources of both universities, complement each other and cooperate with each other in various forms, including application for scientific research program and construction funds, joint scientific research and related academic activities, high level consultancy projects, inter-university graduate / research staff exchange programs, etc., so as to promote the application of the research achievements in the Pearl River Delta and other places. Professor Li Lijuan, Dean of Faculty of Civil and Transportation Engineering and Professor Teng Jinguang, Assistant to the President of Hong Kong Polytechnic University will take charge of the Centre.
