On the afternoon of Nov 3, South China Agricultural University and Shenzhen Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau signed a framework agreement at Bamboo Garden Hotel of SCAU. The two parties will establish long-term and stable scientific and technological collaborative relationship on the basis of mutual benefits, and cooperate in research development, scientific experiments, project application and personnel training. President Chen Xiaoyang of SCAU and Director Liu Shengli of Shenzhen Inspection and Quarantine Bureau signed the agreement. Vice-president Liao Ming of SCAU hosted the ceremony.
Director Liu said that the two sides have already cooperated many times, and have co-built a teaching base for graduate students. The signing of the agreement will set up a new platform for deeper collaborations. The strengths of practical experiences of his bureau and the theoretical advantages of SCAU will interact to open new fields of development. President Chen also expected closer ties between the two sides and a better display of each other s functions in serving the society.
The agreement specified new cooperative frontiers in inspection technologies, animal food product safety evaluation, and separation and identification of new infectious diseases. It also clarified that the two sides will join resources to build four new channels to deepen cooperation.
Also present at the ceremony were staff from both sides.
