Professor Pu Yuzhong, President of Changzhou University (CCZU), met with Keele University delegation led by Professor Nick Foskett, the Vice Chancellor. Both universities expressed strong wishes of all-around cooperation. Based on friendly negotiation, both universities agreed to start with the undergraduates exchange program, and then proceed with the exchange of staff, sharing of educational resources and cooperation in scientific research. The two universities signed a cooperation memorandum understanding at the end of the meeting. The UK delegation included Professor David Shepherd, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, and Professor Lu Maozu, adviser of Chinese programs. Participants of the meeting also included Professor Sun Xiaoqiang, Vice President of CCZU, director of the International Office, and deans from some of the faculties of CCZU.
After the MOU signing ceremony, Professor Lu Maozu introduced the undergraduate exchange program at Keele University to CCZU students who plan to study in the UK. Vice Chancellor Nick Foskett also visited the Petrochemical Center of CCZU and the sand table of Changzhou Science and Education town, which impressed them greatly.
CCZU delegation led by President Pu Yuzhong plans to visit Keele University in May so as to further the cooperation between the two universities.
