On August 12, 2009, Guo Yixiong, President of National Taiwan Normal University (NTNU), Yang Yongbin, President of National Yunlin University of Science and Technology , Hu Weishan, Vice President of Chung Yuan Christian University, and Director of office of affairs between mainland and Taiwan of NTNU Zhuang Kunliang and their party paid a visit to Shaanxi Normal University (SNNU).
The group arrived to attend 2009 Mainland and Taiwan Higher Education Seminar in Xi an. SNNU President Fang Yu received them in Huaide Hall at Chong Yu Lou. SNNU Vice president Zhang Jianxiang participated in the reception and presided over the talks and related activities.
On behalf of their respective universities President Fang Yu and President Guo Yixiong signed the agreement of exchanging students between SNNU and NTNU. NTNU pledged to accept over 5 students from SNNU for advanced studies at NTNU every year, on the other hand, the scope of students exchanged on attachment would be gradually broadened from undergraduates to doctoral students.(trans.
