In the morning of May 19th, 2008, the national flags in Yanta and Chang an compus of SNNU were raised to half-mast to mourn for victims in the earthquake of Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province. Entering the classrooms earlier than usual, teachers and students mourned together for the victims at two twenty-eight in the afternoon. The rest of the students and faculty who didn t have classes that afternoon mourned respectively in different places. Many of them could not hold tears for the victims and rescuers who scarified their lives in the earthquake-- relief movement. trans. Yan Fengmei
