SCHU Delegation of ROK Visits SNNU

On the afternoon of November 4^th, a six-member delegation of Soon Chun Hyang University (SCHU) from Republic of Korea, led by President Ryu Kun-geol, visited Shaanxi Normal University (SNNU). Jiang Xiule, Secretary General of CPC Party Committee of SNNU, met the delegation at the museum of Chang an campus. Jeon Tae-dong, Consul-General, Consulate General of Republic of Korea in Xi an, as well as Consul Chae Han-seo also attended the meeting.

Secretary Jiang Xiule firstly delivered a speech to warmly welcome the visiting delegation and made a brief introduction of SNNU from several aspects. He spoke highly of the efforts made by both universities to promote mutual understanding and deepen exchanges and cooperation since 2005.

President Ryu Kun-geol of SCHU expressed his appreciation for the warm reception of SNNU. Consul General Jeon Tae-dong also congratulated the deepening cooperation and exchanges between SCHU and SNNU and wished that both universities would contribute to promote the understanding and friendship between people in ROK and China.

Qu Yajun, Curator of Museum of Women Culture of SNNU, made a brief introduction of the research results of the investigations on women s wedding gowns of Chinese Korean ethnic group. After the meeting, a short but animated ceremony was held for SCHU s donation of traditional Korean costume to SNNU.

After the ceremony, the visitors visited the museum and gave high praise and showed great appreciation to the collections and administration of the museum. (Trans. Du Qiong)
