To enhance the internationalization level of SNNU, a delegation of 18 people from administration and colleges of the university attended a 20-day training program at York University in Canada. The group, led by Zhang Weihuai, Deputy Party Secretary and Secretary of Commission for Discipline Inspection, had completed the training program and returned home.
This training program, which has a tight schedule and a variety of contents, is a fruitful experience for all the participants. The program is hosted by the Asian Business & Management Program of York University, and co-organized mainly by Schulich School of Business York University. The program offered a 24-unit course on 16 university administration issues, including human resource administration and internal organizational structure of higher education in Canada, the legal issues and government relations in this field, as well as innovative education system and innovation capacity development in higher education, Canadian university student services, staff performance assessment, information technology management and library management and so on.
In the intervals of classes, participants also visited the Ontario Ministry of Education and some universities, having a systematic understanding of Canadian higher education system. The participants all agree that this training program broadened their perspective and updated their administrative ideas, which would certainly enhance the internationalization level of SNNU and accelerate its development.
