In the morning of March 3, the students delegation of Japanese Soka University paid a friendly visit to SNNU. This delegation consisted of 20 members.
Soka University was set up in 1971 by Dr. Daisaku Ikeda, president of Soka Gakkai International (SGI) and professor emeritus of SNNU; the aim of Soka University is to educate lofty, knowledgeable and elegant individuals. In October, 2007, delegation of SNNU, headed by President Fang Yu, visited Soka University. On behalf of SNNU, President Fang conferred the title professor emeritus on Dr. Daisaku Ikeda during the visit; besides, several cooperative intentions were reached between the two universities. At present, these cooperative intentions are being further deepened and carried out, and substantive cooperative projects will be developed gradually. (trans: Chu Tianxia)
