2008-2009 academic year Award Ceremony of Endowed Scholarship was held at Lecture Hall of Shaw Building of Science recently. ZHANG Zhengang, vice-president of South China University of Technology (SCUT), gave an opening address. Over 200 people attended the ceremony, including representatives from entities offering the awards, responsible personnel from the Student Affair Department and Graduate Student Affair Department, and student recipient representatives.
At the ceremony, the responsible personnel of Graduate Student Affair Department announced the recipient list of endowed scholarship. XING Yueqing, deputy director of CCB Principal Asset Management Co. Ltd., extended congratulations to the scholarship winners. Student representatives conveyed their gratitude to the scholarship endowers and reported on their performance over the past year.
SCUT's education work has been widely supported by various social circles. During the past academic year, 20 enterprises including Yorkshire and CCB Principal Asset Management Co. Ltd. established a university endowed scholarship, which played a positive role in the encouragement of students in their study and promotion of their comprehensive quality.
