Recently, eight universities, namely, Beijing Institute of Technology, Dalian University of Technology, Southeast University, Harbin Institute of Technology, South China University of Technology, Tianjin University, Tongji University, and Northwestern Polytechnical University, with unanimous approval, signed the cooperation agreement on talents cultivation.
According to the agreement, the main strategies are as follows:
- Probing into the principles and modes of talents cultivation;
- Promoting the recruitment reform;
- Exchange and joint-training of undergraduates and graduates;
- International cooperation and exchange;
- Cooperation among industries, universities, and research institutes.
The seminar on Talents Cultivation Cooperation was held in Tongji University. As the first step of recruitment reform, joint self-enrollment examination is to be offered in 2011. Other strategies are also included in the agreement: a regularly-scheduled meeting for presidents; a joint meeting system for departments such as Graduate Schools, Teaching Affairs Office, Admission Office, Science & Technology Division and so on.
