Write: Fabia [2011-05-20]

After 5 undergraduates from School of Life Science and Technology Tang Xin in Grade 2003, Leng Jing, Chen Xiaowei and Wang Jing in Grade 2004, Chen Mengjie from Grade 2005 respectively got the pass to continue their studies at Yale University, good news released from that honored School again: Huang Xiu from Bio-Technology Base Class and Li Cong majoring in Bio-Informatics in Grade 2006 were admitted to Yale University again. Both of them received the annual scholarship of CSC-Yale World Scholar Program. They are expected to go to Yale in September this year.

It is understood that this exchange program was established in November 2006 by the China Scholarship Council and Yale University, with the purpose to finance outstanding undergraduates to study biomedical postgraduate degrees at Yale University. It was designed to promote students exchange among best Sino-US Universities, to enhance bio-medical disciplines and to improve the professional level of scientific research. Annually, only about eight undergraduates from Tsinghua, Peking, Fudan, Zhejiang University and HUST are luckily selected to study at Yale.

Since the implementation of the program, HUST's excellent talents training and outstanding performances of students from the School of Life Science & Technology left a deep impression to Yale. Our students' solid professional knowledge, excellent English competence and outstanding overall personal qualities are highly appreciated.
