Student of Civil Engineering Attends Int'l Survey Conference

On March 13, 2010, the 2nd International Surveying Conference for Undergraduates of RICS-ISM was held at the University Teknologi Malaysia. Wan Neng, a student of the School of Civil Engineering and Mechanics, HUST, was invited to attend the meeting and gave a speech entitled "Study on the property development of rail transit construction in China".

The conference gathered many universities to participate, such as Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, University of Malaya, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, Universiti Teknologi Mara, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Chongqing University, Taylors College, Assumption University of Thailand, and Thammasat University. The topic this time was Meeting the Needs of Tomorrow and it aimed to contribute to the better communication for students from colleges having passed the professional accreditation by RICS.

The professional curriculum of the subject of engineering management of the School of Civil Engineering and Mechanics, HUST, passed the evaluation of RICS in 2009. And, students got the degrees accredited by RICS can apply to join the training of APC and CPD which last for 24 or 12 months. After the training, if one can successfully pass the interview offered by an expert panel, he ll obtain the membership of RICS.
