Feb 26 witnessed the extension of cooperation between CUP(Huadong) and HWU(Heriot-Watt University) in Msc Reservoir Management Program.
With the authorization of Ministry of Education, the Msc Reservoir Management Program has been initiated since October 2004 and 5 sessions of students have graduated from this program by far. Considering the positive effect of this program on petroleum and petrochemical industry in China and the new demand on talents in world petroleum industry, the two universities come into agreement to continue the Msc Reservoir Management Program and HWU regards CUP(Huadong) as its Approved Support Center in China according to the agreement.
The counterparts exchanged opinions on deepening cooperation in multiple levels and methods on the signing ceremony. The optimistic extension of this program, exchange of teaching staff and cultivation of doctoral students were also discussed.
Prof. Zha Ming, vice president of CUP and Prof. Brian G.D.Smart, vice president of HWU signed the agreement on behalf of the two universities respectively.
