Visit by the Vice-President of the University of Augsburg, Germany

On June 29th, Vice-President Horst Hanusch of the University of Augsburg in charge of scientific research and foreign affairs and Vice-President Alois Zimmermann in charge of teaching affairs visited SDU. Vice-President Lou Hongxiang met with the delegation.

At the meeting, both sides wished to explore new areas of cooperation through scientific cooperation, exchange of scholars and mutual cultivation of Ph.D. students. The guests also visited the College of International Education, the School of Economics, and the Law School and met with the students in the School of Foreign Languages and Literature, who were to go to study in Augsburg University.

SDU and Augsburg University first signed a Cooperative Agreement in 1986 and renewed it in 2009. The cooperative programs includes: student exchange program including SDU students specializing in German language and culture study for one semester and attend the summer program in Augsburg University, students from Augsburg University study in SDU; exchange visits of teachers and students in the College of Physical Education and Fine Arts School.
