Visit by the President of Chonbuk National University

On February 3rd, a delegation of 8 people, led by Prof. Geo-Suk SUH, the President of Chonbuk National University, South Korea visited SDU. Vice-president Zhang Yun met with the guests.

At the meeting, Zhang expressed his willingness to strengthen scientific and academic cooperation with Chonbuk National University. Geo-Suk SUH said that 24 academic subjects of Chonbuk National University rank within the Top 5 among universities in South Korea,including agriculture, life science, medical science, nanotechnology, energy, and electronics. Moreover, there is an obvious increase of SCI papers. He is looking forward to more exchanges and cooperation among students and teachers from the two universities.

During the visit, members of the delegation held discussions with Prof. Tong Guangwu, Director of the International Office, Prof. Zhang Naili from the School of Economics; and Prof. Liu Zhongwei from the Law School, and was briefed on the cooperative situation of each department.
