2010 International Conference on Institutional Economics Held in SDU

On April 17th, 2010 International Conference on Institutional Economics was held in SDU. President Xu Xianming attended and addressed the conference.

In his speech, President Xu congratulated the opening of the conference, introduced the history of SDU and its contributions to the academic field, and reviewed the achievements made by the Center for Economic Research, SDU. The opening ceremony of the conference was hosted by Huang Shaoan, the Dean of the School of Economics, SDU.

Co-hosted by SDU, the Central University of Finance and Economics, and Hertfordshire University, this conference attracted more than 100 domestic and overseas experts from famous universities and research institutes, including Prof. Andrew Schotter from New York University, Prof. Geoffrey M. Hodgson from Hertfordshire University, Prof. Ugo Pagano from the University of Siena, and Researcher Zhang Shuguang from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. During the two-day conference, participants had discussed advanced economic theories and China s reform through keynote speeches and group discussion.
