On July 30th, Vice-President Zhang Yun received a delegation of faculty from Sungkyunkwan University, Korea. Representatives from the Organization Department, the International Office, the Hospital and Health Management Office and the Logistics Management Office of SDU joined the meeting. Vice-President Zhang extended his welcome and introduced the history, teaching, academic research and international communication of SDU to the delegation. He said that SDU and Sungkyunkwan University have kept a close relationship in students and teachers exchanges and research cooperation. He said the mutual visiting of delegations of the two universities during summer vacation is important for the communication of the two universities; and it is one of SDU s projects of training administrative staff and desirable effects have been obtained. He hoped that this delegation will communicate thoroughly with relative schools and departments to enrich this visit and strengthen the friendship of the two universities. The leader of the delegation Prof. Hangoo Lee expressed his gratitude to SDU s warm welcome. He said SDU is a famous university with a long history and the two universities can cooperate in many fields. He expressed his wish that the two sides would strengthen cooperation in Confucianism studies to introduce Confucianism to the world. On the 31st, the delegation met with staff from the Students Affairs Office, the Academic Affairs Office, the Academic Research Department, the Laboratory and Equipment Management Office, the Public Security Office, the Employment Guidance Center, the Library, the School of Economics, the School of Philosophy and Social Development, the School of Foreign Languages and Literature and the Institute of Asia-Pacific Studies. The two sides exchanged ideas about administrative experiences, students and staff exchanges, and agreed to strengthen cooperation in humanistic disciplines and social sciences.
